Introducing... the new Apple iPad 2012

It's not the iPad 3, it's not the iPad HD, but it does have some whizzy new features

On Wednesday, Apple heralded the arrival of their latest tablet - the iPad 2012. It is not called the iPad 3 or the iPad HD for that matter, but it does host a wide selection of improved features and new technology. It's time to trade up from the iPad 2.

The new A5X quad-core graphics processor

Although the iPhone 4S and the iPad 2 both use Appleundefineds custom-designed A5 system-on-a-chip, the iPad 2012 is powered by the new A5X chip, offering four times the performance of the Tegra 3 processor that powers Android tablets. The chip is so graphic-intensive that it is unlikely to be used in the next iPhone.
